Today I wanted to share a few moments from my SiriusXM segment with Chris Cuomo on Cuomo Mornings. 🎙️
First, I want to personally thank Chris for the kind words, his incredible support of GYM IN A BOX®, and for the strong endorsement he gave our brand during the conversation.
More importantly, I want to recognize his bravery. Reporting from conflict zones is not easy, and Chris has consistently shown a deep commitment to journalism — standing in places most people would never willingly go in order to report what is really happening in the world.
The Tariff Problem Affecting Small Businesses
During the interview we discussed something that directly affects companies like mine: tariff taxes that many American businesses paid but have still not seen returned.
Many companies, including GYM IN A BOX®, absorbed these costs rather than passing them on to customers. That means small businesses carried the financial burden themselves.
Chris was actually one of the first journalists who picked up on this issue and continued discussing it with me earlier on Cuomo shortly after what many called “Liberation Day” in global trade.
For small businesses, these types of financial shocks can be incredibly difficult to navigate.
Global Events and Their Impact on Business
We also talked about how major geopolitical events — including tensions in the Middle East — influence consumer confidence, mental health, and investment in American companies.
When global instability rises, it doesn’t just affect governments or financial markets. It impacts everyday people and entrepreneurs trying to build and grow businesses.

You may notice my audio sounds a little muffled during the segment. Apparently my technology decided not to cooperate that morning. 🤷♀️
Meanwhile Chris sounded crystal clear — which honestly just reminded me again why he’s one of the best in the business.
At one point I even started wondering why he needed me on the show at all. 😄
